Sustainable Manufacturing

Sustainable manufacturing is defined as the creation of manufactured products that use processes that are non-polluting, conserve energy and natural resources, are economically sound, and safe for employees, communities and consumers.

Realizing that "Green Manufacturing" is gaining recognition by the commercial and industrial sector, we proudly tout that several buildings in Barrow's public and private sector have complied recently with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification; i.e. Olympic Steel, www.olysteel.com.
