Carl
In 1890 Carl was known as Dillard's Cross Roads. Carl was incorporated in 1906, and today, more than 100 years later, Carl is still very much considered a cross roads community. Highway 8 goes right through the heart of Carl along with the railways. While Carl has an agricultural history, today the community is evolving into a commercial corridor, with a manufacturing district that is growing. The community leaders and citizens of Carl treasure the family-oriented lifestyle, and leaders have a stated goal of building for the future while preserving the past.
